Sophy Proctor

Senior Head of Strategic Funding,

The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF)

We worked together to set up a multi-million-pound strategic partnership between The National Lottery Community Fund and The King’s Fund to support collaboration across health and care.

Lisa’s knowledge of the health and voluntary sector, ability to spot new opportunities and think strategically has been fundamental to our partnership and the programme’s success. This work would not have happened without her. Lisa is also a relationship builder, a collaborator and supportive partner.

Since our strategic programme, Healthy Communities Together was established, TNLCF has made this a priority area and significantly increased investment in this part of our portfolio.

Healthy Communities Partnership supported us to set up this new grant making foundation, researching where we could have greatest impact, offering advice, posing questions, and guiding us through the whole process. They bring outstanding knowledge of grant making and the health and wellbeing sector. Their work has been invaluable.

The speed  with which we could start making grants, the quality of the grant assessments, and the very positive feedback we have received from charities on all aspects of the application process is testament to the professionalism of Lisa and her team.
